#79 - "Magic" Explains Anything [Sep. 29th, 2007|12:09 pm]
Kyrgalon Comic

If you can't understand what the second panel is saying, don't worry about it.  It is logical if you know what stupidions and realitrons are, but to be honest it's not worth worrying about if you don't get it yet.  The main point of that panel is that the true explanation as to why Dumbimus is floating is very, very complicated, so if you don't get it then you actually did get it.  And you deserve a sticker.
The idea for this comic actually came from Terry Pratchet's Night Watch, which is set in a Medievalish fantasy world.  In that book, Sam Vimes is introduced to the idea of using machines to "move" the time around something, effectively travelling through time by making it travel around oneself.  He can't understand this, though, so the person behind the machine tells him that it is "magic" and moves on.
Dumbimus is having way too much fun violating the laws of physics.  Then again, if you could travel around by floating in the air, wouldn't you do so too?
